MY FUTURE JOB

I job I would like to have in the future is being a radio producer. I imagine myself doing that to keep my body in movement all the time while I take the control of the situations. Obviously I’ll have to be inside of a record studio, but at least it won’t be an office where i would have to be always in a seat,  wich is something I hate. This job would probably have times I’d be outdoors and indoors but mostly indoors. I don’t have a problem with that, while I’m moving from one place to another. It would be great if in my job I could travel, but if I don’t, i’ll save the money and travel by my own. I don’t need a major to do this job but i’m thinking about taking the International Relationes course. Probably I won't turn into a rich person with this job but at least i'll be spreading a message i believe in, because it's well known that radio is the media most credible. The problem is that if I want to have a family I'll probably have to find a job in which...

Leaning English

Learning English at university had been really helpful to me, because I know about some things, but I’m really lost when it’s vocabulary what we're talk about. For  this reason university turned into the perfect place to learn all those things. Besides, using blogs, reading them and mainly writing made me  learn a lot.  To me, writing in English is one the biggest challenges, because it’s the harder thing for me to do in English.  I still need to improve the way I write and my vocabulary. Most of the time i know only one way to say things and that's why I think I still have to keep practicing with exercises online and having conversations with people who can speak English. I know English will keep being part of my life somehow, because I expect to travel soon to Australia and besides I’m listening to music in English everyday, so I don’t expect to get away from English after the experience of this course. I’m aware that in the future English will b...

Changes to my study program

My career isn’t perfect. Journalism is currently considered like an easy career because we talk about everything, but as a journalist you don’t know much about anything. Everything we learn is to reproduce something that other people say. I would like that in this career we could learn about whatever we want, for example human rights. I know that those kinds of courses are available as a CFG, which is a complementary course to the curriculum, but I think that those issues are important for a journalist in training to know. Another subject that I think that should be in our curriculum is non-sexist communication, because after all, as a journalist you have a huge labor of producing meaning. We create collective worldview and if we don’t understand the world as a place where we all are equal before the law and before the others we will reproduce a hate speech that isn’t right. As a student, I would like to learn about different things, not just about cameras or how to write news o...

MY NEXT VACATIONS

As we are in the last days of clases and this year has been very difficult academically, I think now is the time to relax and start thinking about holidays, a time that we all have to seize. For this vacations, I've been planning a really nice trip with my boyfriend. We would like to go on the north direction of Chile, and go through PerĂº and Bolivia. We choose this destiny becouse both of us wants to know this interesting countries that has a lot of beautiful places such as salar de Uyuni, the biggest salt desert in the world, Machu picchu, that has a sanctuary declared as one of the seven wonders of the world, and a lot of diferent places such as Isla del sol located in Bolivia, and the main cities like Cusco, Lima and La Paz. All of this places are very close from Chile, and none of us has ever gone. It will be my first trip as a backpacker, I think that it'll be very dificult to me because I can't picture myself walking around the city with a giant backpack on my sh...

MY HOBBIES

It’s hard to me to talk about one hobby, because I think that I  have only one. They’re probably a lot of hobbies. Just to mention some of them, I could say that I love listening to music, being with my friends, cooking, to party, biking and that I can’t live without watching series or movies. The most difficult thing to me is going to class without music, because I spend 3 hours or more each day moving from home to university and I hate metro and Transantiago. I can’t stand being standing and surrounded by people I don’t know, and do nothing to forget about that. That’s probably when I listen to music the most because when I’m at home I usually cook, call my friends or I watch series on Netflix. All these hobbies are something that I’ve transformed in a routine. I need to do one of these things all the time, if I don’t do anything I start over thinking and my life turns into a mess when I don’t even have any trouble.  Keeping myself in movement works like a barrier t...

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

When I finish my studies on the university, I would like to study International Relations because  I’ve always been interested in a job in wich I can move a lot and meet new people with different  cultures and languages. Although this course is given in Chile, I would prefer taking it abroad and mainly in Australia. The latter because I think that being in another place could be helpful to my personal development  and to grow new skills related to this course. I’ll probably have a job when I start studying my postgraduate studies, so I’ll need this course is given in a part-time mode otherwise I couldn’t afford my stay  in that country . And if I’m in Chile when I study that course, I’ll need the same thing, Chile is not  a cheap place to live so I’ll obviously need a job and money top ay a rent, because I don’t want to keep living with my parents at 25. Sometimes I think that leaving my country scares me but if  I don’t take that risk i will never...

MY BEST HOLIDAYS

I remember my best holidays as if it happened yesterday. Very good memories that I would like to have with me untill the end of my days. It was in summer of 2016, in a beach located in the north of Chile, called Guanaqueros. A very beautiful beach, with a lot of things to do and very good waves for swimming. We went there with two of my best friends and the family of one of them, that actually I’ve known them since I was a child so it feels like home. My two friends and I stayed in a camping, and the family stayed in a log cabin near the camping, but we always have lunch together. We did a lot of good things, during the day we were going to the beach, where we played a lot of things, like cards, volleyball, and swim in the water. At nights, we were going to the beach too, but to make different things, like make a wood fire, meet new people and maybe have a few drinks. So far, it was my very best holidays, because I can’t remember any moment of those two weeks in which I felt ...
